“The Prince of Color show can be best described as an interactive variety experience for children two to nine, including dancing and singing, magic, parades, juggling, stories and more. No two parties are the same – except for the giggles, belly laughs, shrieks and smiles – as Yuri tailors each performance to the moods and interests of his young audience and engages everyone in the festivities.”

On Friday, June 20th at 5:30pm, the Cup and Top Café will host a book reading and signing for Nerissa Nields’ new book, How to Be An Adult.
A wonderful book that explains exactly what the title suggests – how to be an adult. It’s packed with information, from changing your oil to getting health insurance to getting along with your housemates to indispensable self-care advice.
For extra fun, it’s illustrated by Nerissa’s sister, Katryna!
The Table of Contents (plus explanation):
1. Vocation and Avocation (everything from figuring out what you want to be when you grow up to how to put together a resume to the importance of failure)
2. The Vehicle that Is You (the life-coachy section of the book, all about self care)
3. Bloom Where You Are Planted (how to rent an apartment, choose and get along with housemates, keep your place clean, shop for groceries and cook yummy healthy food-recipes included)
4. Money, Cars, Insurance and a Bunch of Other Boring Stuff (just that)
5. Other People (includes a section on democracy, voting with your pocketbook and all sorts of relationship advice)
And yes! they will be singing! Nerissa & Katryna have picked out a relevant song to accompany every chapter.
Both author and illustrator will be at the café for a book reading and signing. The book is on sale now at the café, so get your copy early!
Also note: the café’s hours on Friday, June 20th will be extended for this special event. We will be serving our full menu until 7pm.
